Environmental Factors in Autism Initiative
Through the Environmental Factors in Autism initiative three grants have been awarded that focus on the neurotoxicity of mercury and its possible implication in autism. Until recently the chemical thimerosal, a mercury derivative, was a commonly used preservative in childhood vaccines and other medical and health products.
