hi everyone, i am leelu the mother of Dillon. Dillon is a very nearly 5 yr old child with autism. we have known about Dillon's autism for 1 year now. he has started at a school that helps children with special needs and seems to be doing well. just lately though i have been feeling that maybe i could be doing more for Dillon at home. he has been close to speaking for awhile now but does not seem to quite get there. he mimics words and will now sing a few nursery rhymes to himself (this is new) i cant help thinking i would have more luck at home with his speech if only i could find some tried and tested approaches. so , i would be grateful for any input on this matter or even just a hi.
