Hi Everyone,
I'm so glad to see that we are not alone. My name is Beth and I am the mother of two beautiful children ages 5 and 6. Our 5 year old was diagnosed with ADHD, OCD, ODD and possible mental retardation at the age of 3. Later, her diagnosis was changed to Autism. She is now 5 and is receiving many different therapies. We started therapy as soon as her diagnosis of Autism was given to us. She is thriving and has just learned how to ride her bike WITHOUT training wheels.......TODAY!!!!! Yeah!!! We take all successful steps with many
high fives and cheers and we think that helps her along. But, as all of you know....it's a real struggle and the family is often so darn tired. Anyway, we are plugging along and doing the best that we can. I have never reached out to an online group so I may be a little lame at this kind of thing. Nevertheless, I'm thrilled to have found this website. Many thanks.
My question of the day: Our daughter is potty trained but has reverted back to bed wetting and peeing in her pants many times during the day. We are at a loss as of what to do. We have tried many things to deter the wetting such as: having her go to the bathroom every 1/2 hour, putting her on the naughty mat, letting her walk around in wet clothes for a short period of time and I even try to get her to help in the whole process of cleaning herself up and putting on dry clothes. So far we have not had much luck. Any ideas??
Thanks for such a great website, Cherie! I look forward to any great ideas!
