Dear working parents of children with autism, To date, surprisingly little work has been conducted to examine how parents of children with autism simultaneously manage providing care for their children while also trying to maintain paid employment. My research team and I are very interested in adding to our collective understanding of these very important issues. Thus, we are interested in gaining a better understand of how having a child with autism has affected your relationship with your spouse, or other family members, as well as how it has affected your work life. If you are a parent of a child with autism, and currently working at least part-time, we would greatly appreciate you taking 10 minutes to complete a short online survey. Participants, who would like, can e-mail me at Matthews @ lsu.edu to obtain a copy of the final results of the study. Please follow this link to participate: www.surveymonkey.com/s/momofautisticParticipation in this study is voluntary and you may withdraw from participation at any time. All responses are completely anonymous. Data will only be accessible by the study researchers, and will be destroyed after five years. If you have any questions about your rights as a research participant you may contact Robert C. Mathews, Institutional Review Board (IRB), LSU, at 225 - 578 - 8692. Thank you, Russell Matthews, Ph.D., Louisiana State University
